Girard Bulk Service has been serving our customers as a part of South East Saskatchewan communities for 30 years and through our staff, outstanding products and service, we will continue to serve the South East.
In December of 2016, Jason Hancock and his wife Laurie amalgamated Girard Bulk Service with Hancock Petroleum Inc. from Raymond and Velda Girard ensuring that the staff, outstanding service and products would remain the same to make a seamless transition into this new venture.
"My grandfather, Charles, started in the petroleum business in 1942 out of a small garage in Marwayne, Alta. servicing agriculture, oilfield, and commercial customers with refined petroleum products and finished lubricants.
My uncle, Gordon, took over in 1955 servicing the Lloydminster AB/SK areas until the early 1980's.
My father, Ted, then took over in 1984 and in the early 1990's, he and Raymond (interesting connection) became two of the first enhanced marketers which owned more than one location or trade territory. In the 1990's I worked for corporate Petro Canada both in Edmonton and Vancouver, helping and managing the various marketers in these western regions.
In 2001, myself and wife Laurie bought my father's business from him outright and settled in Lloydminster to run the business.
Since 2001, we have expanded the business over the years to include Provost and Vermillion AB, as well as Maidstone, Meadow Lake, North Battleford, Edam, Unity, Cutknife, and Biggar SK. In 2016, with the amalgamation of Girard Bulk Service, we currently have over 85 employees servicing 29 different towns, cities, and communities with a fleet of trucks and equipment.
I am extremely proud of our staff that deliver a high level of service safely to each and every customer/client each and every day."
Our company theme is steadfast: service is what differentiates you from the competition.
